High Tech Turning
Our turning department has four lathes at its disposal, ranging from standard 2-axis CNC equipment to an advanced 2-axis ACE – Micromatic, LMW, Robusturn with live tooling. We use modern carbide tooling and can achieve surface finishes up to 4 µin (RMS), often avoiding the need to polish the part afterwards. We can accommodate nearly any turning project, whether it’s a miniature part or something 12” in diameter. Even more, our machinists and toolmakers are always searching for ways to optimize their manufacturing methods to decrease production time and cost. Our programmers have dedicated computer workstations for 2D and 3D modeling, and our skilled craftsman can even program directly from the shop floor on their machine.
Power Milling
Our milling department is the largest machining section of our company, with a total of five machines. We perform vertical and horizontal milling on 3 or 4 axes. Our equipment and skilled staff can handle a wide variety of jobs, ranging from general milling to superaccurate operations – all the way to 30 millionths (0.00003) of an inch using our Mikron 400U! These tolerances lend themselves specifically to the needs of the Aerospace, Defence, Pharmaceuticals & General Industries. The high spindle speeds permitted by our sophisticated machines and tooling provide incredible surface finishes, too. With finishes in the 6-8 µin (RMS) range, many parts can be completed without the added step of polishing.
Precision Grinding
Dabir Industries can handle your grinding needs in-house. We have two high-precision surface grinders and can maintain tolerances to within 0.00005”. We also have an assortment of form grinding fixtures, as well as bench grinders and tool sharpening equipment
